I am sure a lot of this is staged for the show, but it is time to put a stop to this garbage already!!!

I don't think all of this is staged. I think that these jersey shore cast members were regular kids who are now rich and famous and they can't handle it and think they are able to do whatever they want regardless of the law. And on the flipside, I bet there are tons of idiots who purposely try to get into fights when they see the cast out just so they can cash in or try to get their 15 minutes. The whole concept of all these "reality" show celebs is pathetic. People should earn fame and fortune by ACCOMPLISHING something.

Seaside has been a dump for a while, much longer than the show has been around. Even in high school we knew it was bad news and I am only 27. Want something family friendly go to Ocean City. Seaside is going to be like Asbury Park in 20 years except Seaside doesn't have a Bruce Springstein to clean it up and restore it.

Let "Ronnie Ortiz" get 30 days in January in the SSH jail with the crack heads. He's already on PTI. He'll find out who is friends are when the rest of the cast are touring world wide promoting new shows and book deals. Will Snook's bring her new born baby?

@ L.Michael - PPB may be putting up a fight but things are not all that great on the boards there either. It's not as bad as Seaside but it's not too far behind. Bad times all around ....sad commentary on our cultural state of affairs. People lack respect and common decency for people,animals, and property; but most of all for themselves.

@just me, True...but according to point pleasant beach the true locals admit they do not like any tourist that come to their town. They do not even like the residents that live in their town and pay taxes. Only the locals that are originally from there are allowed to speak. It sounds like ignorance amongst the locals.

You know, I think with all this stuff going on and it's technically still not summer, it has already gotten boring for these poor fools. I think it's time to send them abroad again for another foreign season. How about "JERSEY SHORE: SYRIA??" Or maybe "JERSEY SHORE: AFGHANISTAN???" The ratings would be very high!!!

The most stupidest show I have ever seem. I try to watch when it first came on, I shut it off in 5 minutes. Insult to New Jersey

the entire show is scripted...when they say deena left the house alone and went to the bar...what they mean is deena left the house with a camera crew and body guards...none of these people ever go anywhere alone..as for bar fights, they might be very real but the body guards are near by so when the cameras go off they take over...and who ever said ronnie started the fight..ya know alot of idiots like to start with them cause of one reason or another..its not always the cast starting crap...the only difference between the cast and the locals (meaning toms river and area) is that they are on tv and the other drunk idiots aren't..so please think twice before you always blame the cast and crew..seaside was a dump before they got there and its gonna be the same old dump when they leave...

And, the Patch and most likely every other news media outlet helps the promoters of this stupid show send the ratings up this week for their own profit. If this jerk does go to jail they'll just poop in another idot to fill in. Or, right a new part for him to cause trouble. Let's see that's 2 weeks in a row they caused to ratings to Jump. I would expect this to happen evey week till the end of summer and maybe even beyond.

On a day that we celebrate Fathers we are subjected to this crap. Thankfully my children and grandchildren have chosen to respect their fathers and I am the proud one.

I LOVE JERSEY SHORE!!!!!!!!!! They get picked on a lot by the locals which is pretty pathetic. They aren't harming ANYTHING or ANYONE being here. Get a life people, it's just a TV show!

This is just a continuing example of what is being passed off as "entertainment". It's given us the "Kartrashians", The "Housewives of Very Bad What The Hell Were They Thinking Plastic Surgery", "Basketball Bimbos", etc, etc, etc........The only way to get rid of them is to stop watching them on their own shows & someone elses's they may be appearing on & don't buy their products. When the sponsors realize that no one is tuning in they will drop the financial support & the shows go away.

I don't think the cast of the jersey shore is doing nothing wrong .. First of all everyone says " go back to Newyork or all they do is pick fights " if you watch the show ,,They never once started a fight ,,it was all the white trash in seaside that kept picking on them I'd anything they even tryed Walking away.... And as far as going back to Newyork ,,,, For all the Seaside residents I'm sorry to inform you if it wasn't for people from up north seaside wouldn't have a pot to piss in ,,, oh and by the way when I was young and everyone else that trashes these cast members were young the thing to do was wait for summer so we can rent a house in seaside and we all used to chip in for beer go to the clubs and meet as many girls as possible ,,., the only difference is this cast is doing it for $30k a day.... And as far as them getting drunk that's the bad part because the residents and some people on here never get drunk and act stupid ..I love when woman say oh my god those girls are sluts ,,,,,,hhhmmmmm I would love to see what's your closet....

If everyone stopped watching this trash ..it would go away...but ratings are good so it stays on..no one to blame but those who watch !!! Seaside will never stop cause it draws a crowd of more trash ..and seaside is trash...

If it wasn't for this trash ,, seaside would look like it does in the winter year round.. With the exception of the local trash broke with no money and driving up north to make a living..

The show, scripted or not, is depicting a certain group of people who come to the shore during the summer. Like it or not, it IS an accurate depiction of a specific type of people and how they act. We know that this does not represent all people who are at the shore, but we all have to admit to the fact that every summer, groups of friends from other parts of the state and NY come down and act just like the people on the show....and they have been doing that long before the show was ever produced.

The majority of these morons are not from New Jersey. None are locals, local to me would be someone from at least Ocean County, or at least grew up in Ocean County on or near the beach, bay or water. Also these idiots are also many different nationalities. You have Jaywow Farley whom is Irish, Ronnie is Puerto Rican, You had Angilina Pavilic who was a Russisn Jew, we all know Sniikoe is Chileian and so on.We think we locals are laughing at them. Here's the deal. This little wimp RONNIE and all his steroid ridden pals are always protected by an entourage of security. Accept when they can get into an altercation that is not dangerous to them. Then they are let free and the camera rolls. The management at MTV is very smart and so is the marketing group. They most likely pay any fines that are incurred and the ratings soar. Let that little muscle bound wimp loose by himself and see how fast he end up in intensive care by a group of guys who are sick of him and the blow up kings!

I'm a local. Lived here my whole life. When I go on vacation I'm ebarrased to say I'm from the jersey shore because they think that the show represents us. When its the bennies who mostly act that way. But in all fairness, the show brings money to the local buisnesses. I have family that owns some buisnesses and profits are up because of the show. You have to take the plusses and negatives. Is it about time for the show to end yes. I have met some of them away form filming and they were nice to me. Maybe ronnie should think twice before swinnging but the kid he knocked out in the first season when he bragged "one punch" can get on your nerves and still braggs he got hit by ronnie. So who's to blame there? Some people don't like howard stern but still listen to him. Same with the show. Most people on the patch said they don't like it but you know their names and still talk about the show.
