BOE's Youngest Member-Elect Ready to Get to Work

Newly elected Board Member Brandon Pugh vows to keep the community in the loop on what's going on in the school district with a monthly column on Moorestown Patch.

To the editor:

With the official election results less than a week old, I would like to convey my deepest appreciation for my election to the Moorestown Board of Education. I am honored to have been elected and I look forward to serving come January. In addition, I would like to thank everyone who supported me.

Furthermore, I would like to congratulate both David Weinstein and Sheryl Sawin for being elected as well, and to all who were interested enough in the community and schools to run for office. I am looking forward to seeing the work accomplished by both the newly elected and existing board members, because the board will consist of well-rounded and experienced individuals.

While seeking office, I outlined several goals I wished to accomplish if elected. I will work toward these objectives, and am looking forward to doing so. I strongly believe the quality of education in Moorestown needs to continue, while keeping obvious fiscal constraints in mind.

It is my goal to be very accessible while in office, and to keep the community up-to-date on the school district and my personal work with the board. To accomplish this, I have embarked on a pair of initiatives. First, I have developed a website (www.brandonjpugh.com) where information about the school board and district will be posted regularly. Also, I will have a monthly column on Moorestown Patch, which will be posted the last Friday of each month. In this column, I will reflect on what has occurred over the course of the month and provide important information for the coming month.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time, as I would love to hear from you. I look forward to serving the community, school district and every resident over the next three years.
