Local Deli Closes Abruptly

The same day Moorestown Patch ran a business story on the Riverton Deli, a "closed" sign appeared on the door.

The same day Moorestown Patch ran , a popular sandwich place located in downtown Riverton, a sign saying it's closed was posted on the door.

On Wednesday, a "For Sale Or Lease" sign was put up in the window of the empty deli.

Calls to Terry Bridge Jr., the Riverton man who owns the deli and who was recently interviewed for the story, were not returned. A call to the deli itself gives a recording saying the number has been disconnected. Riverton Deli's website is still up and running at www.ciocisdeli.com; Cioci's is the former name of the spot.

Bridge took over the restaurant and named it Riverton Deli last August. In a recent interview, Bridge said he had expanded the items to include breakfast sandwiches, wraps, soups and more.
