Man's Body Pulled from Pond, Police Say

Mount Laurel Police say Robert Bennett was last seen fishing at the pond at Tricia Meadows Tuesday.

Police aren't sure what killed Robert Bennett, whose body was found in a pond inside a Mount Laurel development Wednesday.

Mount Laurel Police said Bennett, 35, of the 800 block of Woodchuck Drive, was last seen fishing at a pond in the Tricia Meadows development around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. A concerned citizen called police Wednesday afternoon after noticing fishing rods, tackle and valuables had been left unattended at the pond. 

Bennett's body was pulled from the pond Wednesday by New Jersey State Police.

The investigation is ongoing, but police said Bennett's death appears to be accidental, according to a report.
