Maple Shade Man Accused in PA Acme Thefts

A Cherry Hill resident and a Maple Shade resident are charged with stealing over-the-counter medication.

A pair of South Jersey men who were wanted by store security for more than $40,000 in thefts from numerous incidents were arrested Monday at an after allegedly trying to steal from one of the supermarkets again, Newtown Township Police said.

The two men, who were only identified as a 36-year-old from Cherry Hill and a 35-year-old from Maple Shade, were caught on West Chester Pike after it was reported they'd fled the store in a white Lincoln with New Jersey tags. A third man was arrested as he was walking away from the grocery store, police said.

Acme employees told police of the allegations against the two men, who were charged with the theft of roughly $3,400 in over-the-counter medication and medicated creams and lotions from the Newtown Square Acme in September.
