Maple Shade Police Arrest Two on Drugs, Weapons Charges

The men had marijuana and cocaine in their possession, police said, along with brass knuckles, a stun gun and machetes.

Maple Shade Police arrested two men last week following a monthlong narcotics investigation at Pickwick Apartments on Church Road.

According to police, the investigation resulted Friday in the discovery of suspected marijuana, cocaine and numerous prescription drugs at a residence at the apartment complex. They also discovered a number of weapons, including brass knuckles, a stun gun and two machetes.

Police arrested Juan Medrano, 23, of Maple Shade, and Hector Navarro, 22, of Camden. Medrano and Navarro are charged with drug possession, possession with intent to distribute, drug possession in a school zone, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon while committing a drug possession offense, police said.

Both men were sent to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $50,000 (Medrano) and $95,000 (Navarro) bail respectively.
