Police: Serial Car Key-er Causes $13K in Damages

Also, police investigate a serious building fire and arrest a Sewell woman on possession of multiple drugs.

May 4

Theft — Someone stole approximately $5,000 worth of jewelry from a home on the 1100 block of Coventry Way sometime during the money of January, police said. There was no sign of force.  

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 3:05 p.m. — Police arrested Damarcus D. Wilson, 22, of the 5900 block of Trinity Street, Philadelphia, Joshua H. Curry, 23, of the 300 block of Belleville Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ, Dane B. Randall, 21, of the unit block of Easton Street, Hamden, CT, and Lamont E. Grant-Curtis, 21, of the unit block of Ohio Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, at a hotel on the 1100 block of Route 73 during an investigation, according to a report. All four were charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. Wilson, Randall and Grant-Curtis were each served with criminal complaints pending a municipal court hearing. Curry was committed to Burlington County Jail on outstanding warrants.

May 5

Arrest (possession of paraphernalia), 1:57 a.m. — Police arrested Carmela C. Lombardo-Rossi, 39, of the unit block of Farnwood Road, after she was stopped on Academy Drive for a motor vehicle violation, according to a report. She was charged with possession of paraphernalia and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft from vehicle, 5:30-6:45 p.m. — Someone broke windows to two vehicles parked at Planet Fitness on the 3100 block of Route 38 and stole cash and other items, valued at more than $450, police said. Damage to both vehicles is estimated at $650.

May 6

Arrest (DWI), 3:33 a.m. — Police arrested Steven J. Murray, 41, of the 1100 block of Squirrel Road, Marlton, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 38, according to a report. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Criminal mischief (Ramblewood Apartments), 3-9 a.m. — Someone keyed 17 cars parked on the 800 block of Country Club Parkway, causing approximately $12,900 in damage, according to police.

Theft, 11 a.m. — Police said someone drove off without paying for $25 of gas at the Wawa on the 1100 block of Route 73.

Burglary (Holiday Village) — A burglar stole jewelry, of an undetermined value, from a residence on the unit block of Eddystone Way sometime between April 28 and 1:06 p.m. May 6., according to police.

May 7

Criminal mischief (Ramblewood Apartments), 3-8:30 a.m. — Police said someone scratched a vehicle parked on the 800 block of Country Club Parkway, causing $300 in damage.

Arrest (forgery), 9 a.m. — Police arrested William D. Mines Jr., 45, of the 100 block of Willow Turn, after they say he cashed $680 in forged checks at the TD Bank on Ark Road. The checks were previously reported stolen in Lumberton, police said. Mines was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft, 1:38 p.m. — A resident of the 600 block of Mapleview Court told police his lawn mower, valued at $300, was taken from his front yard. A suspect was seen leaving the area in a white and red older model pickup truck. The driver was described as an Asian man, approximately 30 years old, police said.

Arrest (drug possession), 6:14 p.m. — Police arrested Lindsay B. Zirkel, 31, of the unit block of Village Court, Sewell, during an investigation of suspicious activity at a hotel on the 900 block of Route 73. During the course of the investigation, Zirkel was found to be in possession of heroin, crack cocaine, PCP, and drug paraphernalia, police said. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.  

Criminal mischief, 8:15 a.m. to 8:37 p.m. — An employee of PHH Mortgage reported someone slashed two tires and scratched her vehicle, causing more than $1,600 in damage, police said. The vehicle was parked in the side parking lot of PHH Mortgage on the 2000 block of Bishops Gate Boulevard at the time of the incident.

Building fire, 8:27 p.m. — Mount Laurel Police and Mount Laurel Fire Department are investigating the cause of a fire that severely damaged a residence on the first block of Elbo Lane. A passing motorist called in the fire, police said. The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

Counterfeit money — Police said someone used a counterfeit $10 bill at the Chick-fil-A on Nixon Drive at an undetermined time and date.
