Police: 911 Caller Busted for Smoking Pot

Also, Maple Shade Police charge an 18-year-old with DWI after they say he crashed his car and fled the scene, with injured passengers in tow.

 

July 3

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 5:15 p.m. — Police arrested Edward Huesken, 52, after he called 911 during an argument and hung up. After placing the call—from the unit block of Rose Avenue—Huesken went into the garage to smoke marijuana to help him calm down, according to police. When police arrived, they arrested him and charged him with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was later released on a summons.

July 5

Vehicle theft, 10:22 a.m. — Police said someone stole a 26-inch 18-speed Commondille bike, worth $1,000, from Franklin Drive sometime on July 3.

DWI, 1:01 p.m. — Police said Christopher Vincent DePierro, 18, of Maple Shade, was intoxicated when he crashed his car at Route 73 and Stiles Avenue. DePierro was issued tickets for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, improper operation of a divided highway and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries. According to a report, one of DePierro’s three passengers was injured and treated at Cooper University Hospital. The other vehicle in the accident also had four occupants, police said.

July 9

Theft, 10:27 p.m. — Someone stole a young girl’s bicycle—described as a fuchsia and teal 26-inch mountain bike, with a jelly seat—from the 600 block of Windsor Avenue and replaced it with a teal Huffy Tundra bike that did not belong to the victim, police said. The theft occurred sometime between July 6 and 7. Police took custody of the Huffy.
