Police Arrest Philly Pair for Prostitution at Hotel

Also, Mount Laurel Police investigate another arson.

Jan. 4

Attempt to identify — Police are trying to identify the man in the surveillance photos to the right. He’s wanted for the theft of items from a vehicle parked at the Sunoco on Route 38, according to police.

Jan. 9

Criminal mischief, 12:30-8:30 a.m. — Someone broke the window of a vehicle parked on the unit block of Horseshoe Drive, causing an estimated $300 damage, police said.

Arrest (prostitution), 1:21 p.m. — Police arrested Brian A. Nutter, 43, of the 5500 block of Pine Street, Philadelphia, and Leianna C. Crawford, 25, of the 2000 block of Wishard Street, Philadelphia, for prostitution related offenses during an undercover investigation at a hotel on the 1100 block of Route 73, according to a report. Nutter was charged with promoting prostitution. Crawford was charged with prostitution and unlawful possession of a stun gun. Both Nutter and Crawford were served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Stolen vehicle, 2 p.m. — Someone stole a 1995 Nissan Altima, valued at $3,000, from the parking lot of the ShopRite on Nixon Drive, police said.

Arson, 4:29 p.m. — Police and members of the Mount Laurel Fire Department responded to a fire in the rear of the 400 block of Greenwich Way. The fire, which was set in a trashcan, was extinguished by the resident. There were no injuries or structural damage reported, according to police. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
