Police: Resident Interrupts Burglary-in-Progress
Also, a thief leaves behind the empties in a party-killing beer raid, according to Moorestown Police.
June 22
Burglary, 12:47 p.m. — Police said someone smashed the front window of a home on the 900 block of McElwee Road, setting off the burglar alarm. Patrols checked the house but did not locate the perpetrator. The burglar had stolen jewelry and an iPad from the master bedroom, according to police.
June 23
Vehicle theft, 9:45 a.m. — Someone stole a 2007 White Chevrolet Express van from the 300 block of East Third Street sometime overnight on June 22, police said. The van was left unlocked with a spare key inside.
June 27
Burglary, 12:21 p.m. — A resident on the 200 block of Creek Road interrupted a burglary when they arrived home and found a small green vehicle parked in the driveway, according to police. The resident honked their horn and a white male, about 6 feet tall, stocky, wearing a baseball hat, came from around the back of the house, got into the green vehicle and left. Police discovered the suspect had smashed a casement window in the back of the house, though nothing appeared to be missing.
June 28
Criminal trespass, 9:40 a.m. — Someone helped themselves to a Baltusrol Terrace resident’s beer stash sometime overnight on June 27, according to police. Police said the rear door of the home on the unit block of Baltusrol Terrace was unsecured and several (empty) beer bottles were found left out, though nothing appeared to have been taken (besides the contents of the bottles).
Residents are urged to contact the immediately at 856-234-8300 if they notice any suspicious activity in their neighborhood.
