Patch Five-Day Forecast: Quiet, Mild Weather

If you're sick and tired of the cold weather we've had, you are in luck. Temperatures will be above average for the next seven days and possibly beyond!

High pressure will be in control today and Tuesday, giving the Delaware Valley plenty of sunshine and temperatures well into the 40s.

There will be a storm system passing by to our north on Wednesday, but it appears that it will stay for enough north where we will avoid any rain showers in our area. All we will get is some extra clouds, but temperatures will warm into the low 50s thanks to a southwesterly breeze.

High pressure will take back over for the end of the work/school week giving us sun, a few clouds, and temperatures remaining at 50 or higher.

By the weekend, a weak disturbance could spawn a brief shower or sprinkle on Saturday, but as of now, it appears most of us will stay dry. Overall, Saturday will be a pretty nice day.

I'm not sure if I've ever put a 60-degree temperature in day seven of a seven-day forecast during the coldest time of the year before, but I'm doing it now. A warm southwesterly wind will allow for an absolutely perfect January day on Sunday, so definitely get out and enjoy that! A shower is possible Sunday night, but that likely won't be until after you're sleeping.

Enjoy the great weather this week, and be sure to check in with Phillyweather.net for updates!
