Harry Koons - gone but never forgotten

On April 22, 2014 Harry Koons, age 88 of Moorestown, NJ died. Harry was a longtime resident of Moorestown and was very involved in many  community groups. He was named as Moorestown Citizen of the Year in 1992, was past President of the Moorestown Rotary Club, Treasurer of the Historical Society and Moorestown Community House just to name a few of the many organizations he was involved with over the years. Husband of the late Jacquelyn.

Father of Kristine Bortner and Robert Koons. Also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great –Grandson. An informal reception in his honor will be held on Monday April 28th 1- 4 pm at the Moorestown Community House, 16 E. Main St. Moorestown, NJ 08057.

We thank Harry for everything he did for Moorestown in general, and for the Moorestown Business Association in particular (as former President, Treasurer, and Board Member). With heartfelt sympathy to Harry's family, friends and to all who loved him. Harry was a good man, who will be remembered forever. My heart, for one, is breaking. We have gained so much from his tireless efforts and wisdom. We will feel this loss for a very long time, but his spirit lives on.
