Moorestown Inspires Painting to be Displayed at "Young at Art" Show 7/13

A painting depicting a Moorestown pond in the snow, painted in 1968 by Spring Hills Cherry Hill resident Ellie Mosgowsky, is just one of several dozen pieces by residents, their families and staff associates that will be showcased on Saturday, 7/13 at a free public reception.

The entire Spring Hills Cherry Hill community is eager to share their love of creativity, art and handwork with all of their South Jersey neighbors. These "young at art" seniors invite the community to enjoy their work at a free reception called the Family Connection Art Exhibit, on Saturday, July 13th at 2:30.

Spring Hills Cherry Hill is located at 1450 Marlton Pike East, just west of the overpass where Rt. 295 crosses Route 70.

In addition to paintings, collages, needlework and other visual arts on display, the residence will offer hors d'oeuvres and a professional string duet will entertain.

Musgowsky's painting in acrylic, completed in 1968, depicts a winter scene in Moorestown, NJ. "I'm proud of this work not only because I was happy with the painting, but I also built the frame," recalled the resident, who studied art formally throughout her adult years. A notation on the back of the painting indicates it was originally created as a gift for friends of Mosgowsky to honor their 25th anniversary.
