Moorestown Man to be Honored at Boy Scout Dinner

Jim Brennan Jr., President of Sea Box in East Riverton, is being honored by the Burlington County Boy Scouts as the 2014 “Distinguished Citizen of the Year.” The event will be held Monday, April 28, at Deerwood Country Club in Westampton.

Brennan grew up in a working class family in Trevose, Pa., the oldest of seven children, two boys and five girls. Jim was a Cub Scout in Pack 14, then moved to Troop 14 in Trevose, Pa., where he earned the Order of the Arrow and Parvuli Dei awards, and as a teenager  earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

After attending Penn State University, he began a career in the container and trailer leasing business prior to founding  Sea Box, Inc., which now operates three manufacturing facilities in New Jersey with offices in Europe,  the Middle East, South America, Australia and China. The company designs, manufactures and custom modifies all types of ISO cargo containers that range in use from emergency interim housing units to portable laboratories and workshops, personnel shelters and computer data centers.

The company has received several business awards and Brennan has addressed the US Senate on increasing employment in America.

Jim and wife Maureen, who also works in the business, live in Moorestown. They are the parents of a son and daughter.  His motto: “Believe in yourself, believe in the American Dream and always look for the opportunity to help others in your community,”
