Parks & Rec Hosting 'Everybody Wins' Indoor Field Day for Special Needs

The Department of Parks and Recreation will hold the first-ever "Everybody Wins" Indoor Field Day for special needs children at the Upper Elementary School on Sunday, Jan. 5.

The event grew out of a discussion at a SpEAC (Special Education Advocacy Council) meeting earlier this year, in which parents indicated there wasn't a lot to do in the winter for their kids.

The day will feature individual activities (basketball, bean bag toss, etc.), as well as some group events. Members of the MooreKids Teen Leadership Committee will be on hand to buddy up with the younger children.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

The entire event is being held at no cost to the participants and the township through a sponsorship from MooreKids.
