Samaritan Center for Grief Support Announces Support Group Schedule for Early 2014

The Samaritan Center for Grief Support, a member of the Samaritan Family of Services, announces its winter support group schedule.

“Grief is a natural, healthy and universal emotion. It helps us accept a loss and begin to heal. You don’t have to grieve alone,” says Kim Rumaker, Manager of the Samaritan Center for Grief Support.

The following support groups will be held at Samaritan’s main campus in Marlton starting January/February 2014:

Pet Loss ($15 - 3 sessions)

For adults grieving the loss of an animal companion

·         3 Sessions
·         Starting Thursday, February 6
·         6:00-7:30 p.m.

 Bereaved Parents ($30 – 6 sessions)

Addressing the life-altering loss of a child

·         6 Sessions·         Starting Monday, January 20

Grieving the Love of Your Life ($40 – 8 sessions)

For those grieving the loss of a spouse or partner

Sharing in Suicide’s Sorrows ($30 – 6 sessions)

For friends and family grieving a suicide death

Sharing in Grief and Hope ($30 – 6 sessions)
For anyone who has lost a family member or friend

Samaritan’s grief support groups are open to anyone in the community, but registration is required at (856) 596-8550. Other Center services include grief counseling for adults and children and PTSD services for active military and veterans.
