Why Go: This weekend showcase of all things horror will feature Robert Englund, AKA Freddie Krueger fame, and plenty of other stars from HBO's True Blood, AMC's The Walking Dead, and many others, as well as a variety of films, discussions, autograph signings, vendors and more. Why Go: Jigs, reels and ballads galore! Celebrate St. Patrick's Day a week early with a traditional Irish session featuring some of the area's finest musicians and vocalists. Join Circle of Friends for one of the most Irish of evening entertainments, an informal gathering of musicians and music enthusiasts leading to a communal appreciation and celebration of traditional music. Performers will include Andy Keenan (guitar, banjo and vocals), Shane Dodd (guitar and vocals), Brian Kelly (mandolin), Maura Dwyer (fiddle and cello), John Byrne (guitar, bodhran and vocals), Dan Koppick (fiddle), and Rob Shaffer (guitar and banjo). For more information and to purchase tickets visit circleoffriendsconcerts.com.

Why Go: Like beef? Like beer? How about both of them—together? The  will celebrate its second annual beef and beer social at Kove Caterers II. Proceeds go to Lions projects benefiting sight- and hearing-impaired and special-needs individuals, as well as youth programs and scholarships. Why Go: Moorestown School of Music faculty members will be the featured artists in a benefit recital at The Evergreens. Each instructor performing is not only a trained teacher and registered member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, but also an accomplished musician in her own right.  Performers are Laura Knightly and Jennifer Mullen (violin), Kathi Stokes (cello), and Anne Jadwin, Emily Jennings, Tina Schofield and Mary Anne O’Meara (piano). They'll be performing pieces by Bach, Brahms, Chopin and Schubert, among others. Proceeds from the event will support faculty training.
