PHOTOS: Sledders Brave Cold at Moorestown's Stokes Hill

It was a perfect day for sledding Friday—as long as you had plenty of layers on.

Temperatures in the teens? No big deal.

Dozens of Moorestonians braved the frigid weather Friday to take part in a town tradition: sledding on Stokes Hill the day after a snowstorm.

With school out, children of every age (and their parents) streaked down the snow-covered slope—made famous by Samuel Leeds Allen, inventor of the Flexible Flyer sled, who used the hill as a testing ground for the popular sled.
