Plenty of Activities Available for Moorestown Residents This Spring

The Department of Parks and Recreation has a list of activities for youth and adults.

It's safe to say that the slightest lift in the weather has everyone thinking "Spring!"
The Moorestown Department of Parks and Recreation is thrilled to announce its spring season of offerings for youth and families to be active! With everything from arts and crafts to new programs like pickle ball and badminton, there is a little something for everyone.

For youth who are interested in Arts and Crafts, sessions I and II of Arts and Crafts will take place March 1-April 5 and April 26-June 7. Arts and Crafts are for youth ages K-4 and for youth with special needs. Creative ballet is available to youth ages 5 and 6 from March 29-May 24. Pre-Ballet is also offered for youth ages 3 and 4 from March 29-May 24.

For dancers ages 7-10 who are interested in Jazz dance, classes will run March 29-May 24 as well.

For girls in grades 3 and 4 interested in learning about lacrosse, the Recreation Lacrosse League will begin on Wednesday, March 12 and run on Wednesdays and Sundays through Sunday, May 11.

Other programs like Girls B Fit, Tumblin' Tots, Zumba and Yoga are offering spring sessions and are open for registration.

Are you an early bird? Why not try the Exit 4 Boot Camp? Great fellowship and fun fitness! Does indoor tennis strike your fancy? The next session starts for youth ages 4-12+ on March 10. How about the latest craze - pickle ball! Pickle ball is like a cross between tennis and ping-pong, is played on a large court as a single player or doubles.

How about Badminton? Plans are underway to establish a Badminton League where older youth and adults can play.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to be able to offer this first run of spring programs. Additional programs will be added as the weather improves.

Is there a program you are interested in that is not currently being offered? Contact the Department of Parks and Recreation and suggest it! The Department is always looking for new programs and additional offerings.
