Primo Premieres, Mall Restaurant Request Highlight Week Ahead

Also, you'll want to stay inside as much as possible this week.

Prepare to be blasting that A/C all week. An excessive heat warning is in effect for the area for the next several days, with temperatures expected in the mid- to upper 90s.
But why jack up your own electric bill? There's a bunch of things you can do indoors this week.

First off, after months of waiting, Primo Hoagies will open its Moorestown franchise at 10 a.m. Monday. The shop will set up ... shop right next door to Starbucks at 41 E. Main St. With more than 60 sandwich selections—including this editor's favorite, the "Whacked Chicken"—there's a good chance you'll find something to eat.

Sadly, Primo doesn't offer indoor seating, so maybe go for take-out this week.
Speaking of new restaurants, the Moorestown Mall is expected to pitch the zoning board on its plan for outdoor seating at three new establishments: Marc Vetri's Osteria (121 inside seats and 26 outside seats), Firebirds Wood Fired Grill (232 inside and 44 outside) and the Corner Bakery (120 inside and 30 outside).

The mall's zoning doesn't permit alfresco seating, so the mall is seeking a variance. The zoning board meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the IT room at Moorestown High School.
Also this week, MoorArts and Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) present more summer theater, with productions of Evita and Bye Bye Birdie, respectively. Evita, now in its second week, will ends its run with performances on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, all at 8 p.m., at Moorestown High School. And MTC premieres Bye Bye Birdie at 7 p.m. Thursday at William Allen Middle School. Catch Rick Williams, as well as a plethora of local politicians, in this Broadway classic.
