Burlington County is accepting submissions for its annual Environmental Health Photo Contest.

Burlington County has announced the kickoff of its fifth annual Environmental Health Photo Contest.

All submitted photos will be judged by the Burlington County Health Department and showcased at Burlington County’s Earth Fair at Smithville Park on June 24, where a People’s Choice Award will be voted on and awarded.

“We encourage residents to submit photos of environmental successes or challenges in your communities to raise awareness of everyone’s impact on the environment,” said Freeholder Mary Ann O’Brien.

County residents can enter only one photo. Pictures must include a brief description of 25 words or less and the location where the photo was taken.

Awards will be given to the following groups: 10 years or less, 11-15 years, 16-18 years, Adult Amateur, Senior Amateur (62+) and Adult Professional. Photos must be no larger than 1 MB and the size should be 5” x 7” or less.

Ideally, photos should be submitted via email to JSivon@co.burlington.nj.us. Include your name, phone number and photo description in the email. For those unable to submit electronically or have additional questions, call John Sivon at 609-265-5467.

Photos are due no later than 5 p.m. Friday, May 25.
