Deborah Idol

Deborah Hospital Foundation is holding a “Deborah Idol” singing competition to find the best singers in New Jersey. The Grand Prize winners in two age division will each win a $1,000 prize.  A capella auditions will be held August 22 at 5:00 p.m. at the Enterprise Center at BCC in Mount Laurel; September 9 at 1:00 p.m. in Silver Ridge Park Westerly, Toms River; and September 12 at 4:00 p.m. at Pemberton Township High School, Pemberton. Audition registration is $25, and there are two divisions: 8-14 years old and 15-25 years old. The top 10 Contestants in Each Division will move on to the Grand Finale on November 3, 2012 at the Pemberton Township High School Auditorium. Professional singers, songwriters, and musicians will judge the competition. The general public will be charged a $5 admission fee to the preliminary auditions. Tickets to the Finale are $15.
