The Evergreens, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Moorestown, will hold an eco-conscious fair, open to the public on Thursday, May 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. This is the 3rd consecutive year that The Evergreens has organized a celebration in honor of Earth Day, which was held last month on April 22.
Attendees will be able to sign the Green Passport Pledge and receive their own Responsible Global Citizen Green Passport – a summary of facts, figures, and information relevant to The Evergreens campus and community in their daily quest to reduce, reuse and recycle. There will also be giveaways for all who attend, made possible through donations from event sponsors and participating vendors. Additionally, attendees can enter drawings at the raffle table for a variety of eco-friendly prizes.
A variety of surprise live characters in Earth Day costumes will also be available for photos throughout the event. The Earth Day/Environmental Committee will greet and speak to residents, staff, and guests about The Evergreens on-going Recycling and Conservation Initiatives.
