hosted an evening of exciting vocal entertainment at on Wednesday, part of the Moorestown Concerts in the Park. The audience was treated to a variety of music performed by former MoorArts stage stars and faculty members. The cast of the 2012 MoorArts summer theatre production, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, closed the evening with a rousing preview of the show.

MoorArts headliners Jen Rosario Kent (Into the Woods, Thoroughly Modern Millie), Carol Jones (Godspell, Hairspray) and Christine Serenbetz (Hairspray) returned to Moorestown to serenade the crowd with popular ballads, jazz standards and show tunes. Moorestown High School teachers Gregg Harr and Kristen Conrad, along with Steve Markowski, wowed onlookers with combined numbers, including the old Cole Porter crowd pleaser, “Friendship.”

Performing select numbers, and even a mock spelling bee, Ryan Wyrofski, Olivia Manlove, Jarad Benn, Anthony Ieradi, John Comegno and the rest of the cast from The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee gave concertgoers a taste of the hilarious musical comedy, which opens July 13.
