Peter Pan Jr. Takes Off in Moorestown

Moorestown Theater Company's Summer Stage is putting on the area premiere of Peter Pan Jr. through Friday.

Theater fan who are into Disney performances will have the opportunity to see something new this week, as the Moorestown Theater Company puts on Peter Pan Jr. this week.

The show, which is the latest in the company’s Summer Stage program, is the first performance in the area this year.

Producing artistic director Mark Morgan explains that the show originally was not going to be made available for schools and group to perform until September.  He called this week’s show “the Delaware Valley community theater premiere.”

“Its kind of cool for us to premiere something,” he said.

The show is a 90-minute performance of Peter Pan featuring children from ages six to 15. The show includes a number of songs and performances from the full version of the show and also includes new songs that Disney worked in, such as a scene featuring Pirates of the Caribbean.
