With just about month to go until Moorestown schools are back in session, here’s a look at important dates in the 2013-14 school calendar.
Sept. 6: Transition day for kindergarten, fourth, seventh and ninth grades

Sept. 9: First day of school for students
Sept. 23: Delayed opening for students for staff development

Oct. 14: Delayed opening for students for staff development
Oct. 31: Early dismissal for students for teacher in-service
Nov. 7-8: School closed for NJEA convention
Nov. 27: Early dismissal
Nov. 28-29: School closed for Thanksgiving break
Dec. 20: Early dismissal
Dec. 25-Jan. 1: Winter break
Feb. 17: School closed for Presidents Day
April 18-25: School closed for spring break
May 16: Early dismissal for teacher in-service
May 26: School closed for Memorial Day
May 27-28: No school for teacher in-service (tentatively, see below)
June 18-19: Early dismissal
June 19: Last day of school, early dismissal, graduation
The calendar could change if school is closed for emergencies or weather. If no emergency days are used, school is closed for students May 27-28. If one day is used, class will be in session on May 28. If two days are used, class will be in session both May 27 and 28.
If Moorestown has more than two emergency closings, the district will begin taking days off of spring break, starting with April 25 and working back.
