Wiffle Ball: An All-Star Perkins Center for the Arts benefit!

The big hitters were out at Perkins Center this past Saturday, September 21 for the Inaugural Perkins Wiffle Ball Cup event. The day started at 9 AM with the singing of the National Anthem. Nineteen teams competed for bragging rights and ceramic trophies, created for the event by Perkins’ ceramic artists.  In addition to adult teams, several all-kid teams competed and enjoyed the hot dogs, popcorn, balloon art and running around Perkins’ five-acre property. The sun shone, the music played and the Wiffle Ball Cup tournament raised over $10,000 to support Perkins Center for the Arts. Perkins would like to thank all the participating teams, volunteer organizing committee and corporate sponsors who made the day happen. Start thinking about organizing your neighborhood, company or friends for a team next fall. This is Major League Fun! -- Margie Gorman
