Gov. Christie to Help Dedicate Moorestown Man's Business

Sea Box recently expanded, and local and state officials will help dedicate the Cinnaminson facilities Friday.

The newest building of , a Cinnaminson-based company that sells and rents ISO shipping containers, will be dedicated Friday by local and state officials, including Gov. Chris Christie.

The Cinnaminson business, owned by a Moorestown resident and located on Industrial Highway in the EastRiverton section of the township, has been an extremely successful business for more than 10 years.

Recently, the company added a new building and put a new roof on the factory, complete with solar panels.

“Now, the whole factory runs on solar,” President Jim Brennan Jr., of Moorestown, said.

Sea Box’s top clients are military-related, said Brennan. The 20- or 40-foot storage units are designed for shipping and can hold anything from X-rays and generators to laboratory equipment and food storage.

“Every different kind of thing you can think of goes into a container and that makes it easier to ship,” Brennan said.

The company, started by Brennan, employs more than 150 people. When businesses were seeing a dip financially these past few years, Sea Box has its best two years yet, Brennan said.

“We were very, very busy,” he said.

The company had explored solar energy and thought it made sense for them. Local and state officials have praised the company for their green efforts. The group, Brennan said, is already seeing a return on their solar farm.

The company also did a lot of landscaping to the area around their buildings and fixed up a softball field nearby where a church group plays every week.

“Everything’s pretty good for us, so we’re sharing it,” Brennan said.

Friday afternoon, special guests Sen. Diane Allen (R-7), Burlington County Freeholder Joe Donnelly and Cinnaminson Mayor Kathy Fitzpatrick, among others, will dedicate the new building.

A tour of the facilities will be held, then Gov. Christie is slated to speak at 4 p.m.
