Moorestown Businessman to Transform Woodbury Country Club Site

William Burris Jr. plans on bringing three health care facilities and 18 homes to the site currently occupied by the vacant Woodbury Country Club, the Burlington County Times reports.

A Moorestown businessman has plans to put three health care facilities and 18 homes on the site where the Woodbury Country Club in Gloucester County currently stands, the Burlington County Times reports.

William Burris Jr., 58, of Moorestown, owns Burris Construction, which is responsible for Powerback Rehabilitation in Voorhees and another Powerback coming to Moorestown, according to the report.

He's also discussed plans for bringing a french bistro to the vacant Friendly's restaurant on Main Street.

Woodbury Country Club recently filed for bankruptcy. Burris purchased the property for $3.2 million this week, according to the Courier Post.

The country club has not been in use since 2009 and is expected to bring about 200 jobs to the area, according to that report.
