Mummers and Massages at Virtua Open House

Get a glimpse at Virtua's new Health and Wellness Center in Moorestown this weekend.

An open house will be held at the new Virtua Health and Wellness Center on Young Avenue this weekend, featuring the Pennsport Mummers String Band, free massages and … a flash mob?

The event is open to the community and guests can avail themselves of health screenings, tours, activities, demonstrations, food and more. Virtua provided a sneak preview in December of the $96 million facility—which offers an array of outpatient services, including a fully stocked fitness center with three swimming pools, a spa, urgent care and primary care, physical therapy and cardiology.

During Saturday’s open house, Virtua Urgent Care will hold a Teddy Bear Clinic for children. Vir tú Spa will offer skin analysis and hand and arm massages, while Virtua in Motion will sponsor fitness demonstrations, including a Zumba flash mob.

Several prizes will also be raffled off, including an iPad, Flyers box seats, Vir tú spa services and products, and an annual, six-month and three-month membership to the Virtua Center for Health Fitness.

Virtua physicians and medical staff will be available for health screenings, which include blood pressure screenings, metabolic testing, BMI, knee joint assessments and computerized breast cancer risk assessments.

The open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Health and Wellness Center at 401 Young Ave. (across from Wegmans). The Mummers will be performing from 10:30 to noon.

Visit Virtua’s website for even more information about the facility.
