Opening Date Revealed for Osteria Moorestown

Award-winning Philly chef Marc Vetri casually made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday.

Osteria Moorestown, which is presently under construction at the Moorestown Mall, will open in early November, according to a tweet from the restaurant's famous chef/owner. 

Chef Marc Vetri, a very active Twitter user, responded to one of his followers, who asked whether the Italian eatery had an opening date, with the tweet: "1st or second week of November."

Construction of the Moorestown Mall Osteria commenced over the summer. Vetri has periodically provided updates via Twitter, posting photos of equipment arriving (including an Instagram of a rotisserie/grill earlier this week).

Vetri and mall representatives aimed at the outset to have the restaurant open in time for the holiday season, along with Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and the Corner Bakery (next to Pei Wei Asian Diner outside the mall proper). 

The new 12-screen Regal Premium Experience theater is also expected to open sometime this fall.

Jose Garces will join Vetri in 2014 with the opening of Distrito. The award-winning Philadelphia chefs will actually be neighbors on the Route 38 side of the mall, between Boscov's and Sears.
