Opening of Moorestown Firebirds Restaurant Delayed

The restaurant is the second new eatery at Moorestown Mall to serve alcohol.

The opening of Firebirds Wood Fired Grill at Moorestown Mall—slated for a Dec. 16 debut—has been pushed back but is expected to open before the end of the year.

In a statement provided to Patch, Stephen Loftis, Firebirds vice president of marketing, said the opening was delayed "due to construction and weather. We are working efficiently to bring our signature bold dining experience to Moorestown."

Spokeswoman Krista Beres was unable to provide an exact date for the rescheduled opening, but said the company would have a better idea by Monday, and that Loftis "100 percent guaranteed" it would be open for business by the end of the year.

Construction has been underway for months on Firebirds, which will be located next to Chipotle at the mall.

Firebirds, which operates nearly 30 locations across the country, is the second new restaurant at Moorestown Mall—and just the second in the last century to serve alcohol in town—since Osteria opened last month. The Moorestown franchise is the only Firebirds in New Jersey.

The restaurant describes itself as "upscale, casual" and features a wide variety of items on its menu, including lobster spinach queso, American Kobe beef meatloaf, baby back ribs and plenty of steak and seafood options.
