Wawa Planned to Open Near Moorestown Mall

The convenience store will be located at the former location of Classic Chevrolet.

Moorestown Mall shoppers will find it easier to get their Wawa fix soon after the convenience store chain announced a new location

The Courier-Post reported on Tuesday that Wawa will open a convenience store and gas station at the corner of Route 38 and Lenola Rd. in 2014. The location was formerly the site of the Classic Chevrolet dealership. Classic Chevrolet owner Tom Hessert Jr. will lease the property to Wawa.

Wawa CEO Chris Gheysens is a resident of Moorestown.

A preliminary site plan for a fast food restaurant was also approved for the southern half of the property. Any business that moves into that space would still need approval from the Maple Shade planning board.
