'We Can Do It All': Moorestown Firebirds Gears Up for Opening

Get a glimpse inside the Moorestown Mall's newest restaurant, which officially opens Monday, Dec. 23.

If the crowd at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill’s soft opening Friday was any indication, the new restaurant will have no problem becoming one of Moorestown’s most popular dining destinations.

Moorestown Mall’s second new restaurant officially opens its doors to the public Monday, but invited guests to join them for a series of preview events over the last few days.

“There’s nothing more exciting than opening a restaurant, especially in an area that really isn’t familiar with who we are,” said market partner Mike Lieber. “We’ve gotten overwhelming reviews, tons of smiles, tons of positive feedback from guests. Everyone seems to be really enjoying themselves.”

Lieber said Firebirds, which started in Charlotte, NC, first broke into the Northeast five years ago with the opening of a Wilmington, DE location, then expanded from there. The restaurant has opened locations in Chadds Ford, Collegeville and Erie—all in Pennsylvania—as well as Niles, OH.

Moorestown is Firebirds’ first New Jersey restaurant—and 29th nationwide—to be followed closely by a location in Eatontown in Monmouth County early next year.

Lieber said the mall location, combined with the demographics of the area, makes Moorestown a “perfect match” for the restaurant.

He expects Firebirds—with its stylish decor and “bold … fresh … classic American cuisine”—to appeal to diners of all kinds.

“We want everyone to be comfortable,” Lieber said. “Whether you’re coming in for a business lunch, whether you want to have a romantic dinner, whether you want to have a burger and a great glass of wine before a movie. We can do it all.”

Firebirds will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday. Holiday hours include:

  • Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
