Equipment Depot Opens for Business at New Mt. Laurel Location

Equipment Depot will open the doors to its new metropolitan Philadelphia facility Friday after completing the move from its 7,500-square foot Cherry Hill location, into a more accommodating, roomier space in Mount Laurel.

“Our business in the metropolitan Philadelphia area has been on the rise for the last several years,” said Tom McLaughlin, general manager for Equipment Depot’s metropolitan Philadelphia and Allentown operations. “We simply outgrew our building and began looking for a new facility earlier this year that could support our regional Philadelphia operations, as well as service our customers from Trenton to Wilmington.” 

The new 31,000-square foot Mount Laurel facility will allow Equipment Depot to provide customers with better access to material handling sales, service and parts than they have had in the past. Equipment Depot’s new Philadelphia Metro branch is a dealer for Cat Lift Trucks, Clark, Jungheinrich, Linde and Sellick forklifts. It also represents Lull, Genie, SkyJack, Jlg, Teupen and Terex brands of construction equipment. 

The move will allow Equipment Depot to focus on growth and new opportunities in the Philadelphia area. The Philly Metro crew is also happy about the abundant amount of work space gained by the move.

The new location will cover 15 counties in Philadelphia’s Metro trade area, including five in Pennsylvania, eight in New Jersey and two in Delaware. Equipment Depot also has Pennsylvania locations in Allentown, Lancaster, Mechanicsburg and Williamsport. 

“After several months of planning we began shutting down the Cherry Hill branch on Oct. 11 and were up and fully operational at the new Mount Laurel location the same day,” said Ken Peslin, service operations manager for Equipment Depot’s Cherry Hill branch. “The new building fits our operation well, allowing us to better serve our customers.”
