Jidan Cleaning Founder Patricia Claybrook Completes Prestigious Goldman Sachs Small Business Program

Patricia Claybrook, founder and owner of South Jersey cleaning company Jidan Cleaning (www.JidanCleaning.com), was one of just 23 area entrepreneurs to graduate from the inaugural Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses – Philadelphia class on Sept. 7 during a ceremony held at Community College of Philadelphia.   Claybrook was part of a diverse group of business leaders who were hand-selected to spend 14 weeks at CCP studying a business and management curriculum designed by Babson College and customized by CCP faculty.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a $500 million program that seeks to unlock the growth and job creation potential of 10,000 small businesses across the United States through access to business education, financial capital and business support services.  The curriculum covered accounting, human resources, negotiation and marketing.  Program participants also received one-on-one business advice from Goldman Sachs professionals.

“As a small business poised for growth, I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to participate in a program like this,” says Claybrook.  “It’s wonderful to know that the big corporations are investing in smaller companies to help them progress to the next stage.  I learned so much that will help Jidan move forward.”

Goldman Sachs, a global banking and investment firm, and the Goldman Sachs Foundation have committed $20 million to the program in the Greater Philadelphia area.

“The small business owners who are graduating are strengthening the Philadelphia economy by the jobs they’re creating and the revenues they’re generating,” says Nicole Pullen Ross, Mid-Atlantic Regional Head of Goldman Sachs.  “We are pleased to work with our local partners in this program as we continue to strengthen our long standing commitment to the Philadelphia region.”
