NEPC Names Matthew Malc to Head Marlton, N.J. Office
Northeast Planning Corporation (NEPC), a comprehensive financial services firm based in Cranford, N.J., has named Matthew Malc to head its Marlton, N.J. office. Malc joined NEPC in May 2013, after six years with AXA Advisors in Woodbridge, N.J. In his new position, he will continue to help existing and new NEPC clients while growing the team in Marlton.
"Matthew Malc is an experienced financial professional with unique interpersonal skills," noted Steven Ferrara, CEO, Northeast Planning Corporation. "In working with us for the past six months, he has demonstrated an important combination of attributes that will be needed to grow the firm's presence in southern New Jersey while continuing to assist our clients in the region."
Malc, who grew up in the profession beside his father, a long-time financial advisor, appreciates NEPC's "old school" values. "It is a large company with extensive resources that has retained a small-company feel, which is important to individual clients. I chose this firm to continue my career because of its leadership and philosophy."
Prior to launching his career as a financial planner, Malc was a highly respected basketball coach known for developing and mentoring young talent. Since moving to Marlton from Central New Jersey earlier this year, the Egg Harbor Twp. resident has returned to courtside as well, coaching basketball at Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, N.J.

In addition to his roles with NEPC and as a basketball coach, Malc is co-founder of Logan's Dream, a charity foundation named for his son. The foundation recently had its first event, raising nearly $10,000, which was donated to Atlantic County Special Services, a school for people with special needs. He serves on the school's education foundation board, and is also on the board of Virtua Hospital.
"The move to NEPC in Marlton is an exciting opportunity for me," he added. "It is a terrific area of New Jersey, close to Philadelphia, and the Jersey Shore, with a strong business and industry population. The fact that it is rich in talent will provide impetus in our recruiting efforts as we continue to grow."
"We opened the Marlton office, our Philanthropic Division, back in 2007," said Ferrara. "We consider it a very important part of our South Jersey and Philadelphia outreach plan, and through the use of technology Matthew Malc will get the same strength of training and corporate support that our North Jersey financial professionals receive."
