Thomas Plut D.O. Receives Esteemed Musculoskeletal Sonography Credential

Dr. Thomas Plut of Lourdes Sports Medicine in Moorestown, New Jersey, has earned the Registered in Musculoskeletal™ sonography (RMSK™) credential by The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography™ (ARDMS), joining an elite group of less than 500 physicians nationally.

One of the fastest growing sonography disciplines in the world, musculoskeletal sonography (ultrasound) is used in the evaluation and treatment of joint and soft-tissue diseases. Research has revealed ultrasound to be an invaluable diagnostic tool that can even surpass the accuracy of MRI in diagnosing certain musculoskeletal problems.

ARDMS credentials represent the highest level of competence in the medical-imaging modality of musculoskeletal sonography. The RMSK credential, offered to an array of healthcare professionals, validates the clinical expertise fundamental to musculoskeletal sonography practice worldwide and recognizes the skills and knowledge required for making consistent and reliable diagnoses in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
