19th Century Apothecary Chest/Pharmacy Collectibles

Attractive as antique furniture decor, this period piece chest can enhance a dining area, restaurant or pharmacy collection. It can be used as a creative and stylish storage piece.

This late 19th century German apothecary chest was used for the sorting and storage of drugs and medicinal herbs. Previously owned by Oelmann's Fach-Drogerie in Annaberg-Buchholz Germany. Constructed of wood with wood drawer fronts. Wood with original wiped lacquered finish. The chest fitted with 60 individual drawers (10 drawers across and 6 high) with original porcelain labels. Each drawer fitted with wooden knob pulls and has compounding recipes on many drawers. Everything is in very good condition with slight surface wear consistent with age. Also available (sold separately from chest): W.D.
