Five Things You Need to Know This Week

Town Council will hold two meetings this week—a regular gathering, plus a special session on the town complex project.

1. Town Council will hold a joint meeting Thursday with the task force looking at the town hall/library renovation projects. The meeting is open the public, and there will be a public comment portion. The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m., July 14 at 2 Executive Dr. Read the agenda here.

2. Town Council also will hold its regular meeting tonight, 7:30 p.m., at William Allen Middle School’s media center. Agenda items include extending Tom Merchel’s appointment as interim township manager and discussion on holiday decorations and Strawbridge Lake dam repairs.

4. Moorestown Library will host reading events for children of all ages this week. On Tuesday at 5 p.m., SJ Boys Read (grades 1-4) will talk about Shark vs. Train. On Thursday at 4 p.m., Girls Love to Read (grades 2-3) will delve into Cam Jansen. And, there are children’s story times Monday to Thursday. Click here to see the library’s event calendar.
