On, June 4, the Friends Enrichment Program for financially underprivileged children, will hold a Peace Day celebration in front of the West Building of , at the intersection of Main Street East and Chapter Avenue.

On that day, FEP children will sell dozens of Peace cookies donated by the Moorestown Chapter of Church Women United and they will sell some of their own handcrafted items, including bookmarks, decorative birdhouses and handmade bowls. Additionally, our children will do face-painting, hand-painting and leg-painting for free; and they will do one of their original dances, an activity open to the participation of the young and the young-at-heart.

The Peace Day celebration is a fundraiser as well as an opportunity for members of the general public to become acquainted with FEP, its goals, its activities and its scholarship program. All the money raised at that event will go into the FEP scholarship fund. It will help pay for qualifying children to attend summer camp or enroll in sports clinics or art classes, or receive private music lessons at .
