Lively Pup Looking for a Home

"Sparky" is smart, playful and friendly, say his friends at the Burlington County Animal Shelter.

We named him Sparky because he is so lively—just look at the sparkle in those eyes!

This handsome boy is around a year-and-a-half old, weighs around 40 pounds, and is lively, playful and quite friendly. Sparky has been at the shelter for a few months, and that is not a place to grow up in.

He should not go to a home with other dogs or with cats. Sparky is smart—he already will sit for a treat and loves belly rubs. He is strong for his size, so he needs someone who is willing to give him plenty of exercise, games and some training.

Our volunteers report he is very treat-motivated, so he should be easy to train, and he already knows "sit," knows how to play fetch, and his leash walking is improving as well. Sparky is probably too energetic for a family with small children, but older kids should be fine.

Sparky is a member of our Pooch with Perks Program. When you adopt you will receive a Doggie Goodie Bag donated by the Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter.
