Make a Child's Christmas Wish Come True

The Wish Tree is back at the Moorestown Library—and other locations around town—courtesy of the Women's Club.

It’s a longstanding tradition in Moorestown for the Women’s Club to set up a “Wish Tree” in the library and invite members of the community to help make holiday wishes come true for children in need throughout Burlington County. Once again this season, the library is pleased to display a tree decorated with gift tags that have the name, age and wish of a local child in need of some cheer this holiday season.

Anyone interested in helping make a child’s wish come true can simply stop by the library, choose a gift tag, mark the sign-up sheet with your first name and the number of the tag you selected, and bring your unwrapped gift with the tag to the library no later than Saturday, Dec. 15. Many of the wishes are as basic as a stuffed animal to cuddle or a hat, scarf and gloves to keep warm throughout the winter.

The Women’s Club of Moorestown will deliver the gifts to Emergency and Community Services of Burlington County for distribution to children in need. Additional “Wish Trees” are located at Boscov’s in the Moorestown Mall and Roma Bank at the corner of Route 38 and Ark Road.

Thank you for your generosity!
