Moorestown Day Takes Over Main Street Saturday
Vendors, food and fun for the kids all on the schedule.
Thirty-five years ago, Main Street merchants began holding a sidewalk sale once a year in June. Today, Moorestown Day features more than sidewalk sales. There will be more than 200 vendors and something for everyone at this year's event.
“This is a great opportunity for local businesses to get their name out,” said Moorestown Day Chair Lori Sacalis, of McDowell-Riga-Posternock.
Moorestown Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on Main Street, between Chester Avenue and Church Street.

The event, which brings thousands of people to Main Street, will have crafters, home improvement vendors, chiropractors, pet businesses and food.
There will also be face painting, a moon bounce, sand art, spin art and balloon animals for the kids. And there will be entertainment provided by the Moorestown Theater Company.

“We’re set to celebrate with an event that brings thousands of people to our Main Street business district,” said Sacalis. “It’s a day with something for everyone.”
In addition to Moorestown Day, the 27th annual Scott Coffee Memorial Rotary 8K Run will be held beginning at 8:30 a.m. in front of the Moorestown Community House. There will be nearly 1,000 participants in the run
“The day is a lot of fun,” said Sacalis, who is chairing the event for the first time. “From bringing my kids to being a participant, I’ve seen it from every level and it’s a lot of fun.”
