Moorestown Patch Has a New Local Editor

Rob Scott comes to Moorestown Patch from the Gloucester County Times.

Rob Scott is ready to learn all there is to know about Moorestown and its residents.

Scott started work Monday, Aug. 15 as Local Editor of Moorestown Patch.

He takes over for Diane Fuhrer, who helped launch Moorestown Patch in December 2010. (Diane left in June to take a job in North Carolina.)

Rob comes to Patch from The Gloucester County Times, where he was the paper's political reporter and also covered the city of Woodbury.

In 2003, Rob graduated from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa., with a bachelor's degree in communication with a focus in media writing. After college, he worked at The Danville News, a small daily newspaper in Central Pennsylvania. Later, he moved up to their larger sister paper, The Daily Item.

Rob moved to New Jersey last fall from Pennsylvania,  and said he is still getting used to some of the quirks of the Garden State: full-service gas stations and being able to buy beer and wine in the same store (except in Moorestown, of course.)

He hopes to quickly build up a knowledge of Moorestown and its people that is as encyclopedic as Diane's was.
