Moorestown Ranks Among Philly Mag's Best Suburbs

Philadelphia Magazine named the township one of its 15 best places to raise kids in its October issue.

Six years after topping Money magazine’s list of the best places to live in America, Moorestown finds itself on another “Best Of” list.

This time, the Quaker-rooted town earned a spot on Philadelphia Magazine’s list of the “15 Most Family-Friendly Philly Suburbs,” landing at number five between Wayne, PA, and Medford Lakes, NJ.

The magazine credits the township’s “top-flight schools … strong Quaker roots, a and buckets of picket-fence charm” for its placement on the list.

Mayor John Button said the recognition is “terrific,” and commended the school district’s teachers and administration in particular for contributing to the township’s positive reputation.

He added, however, that Moorestown’s charms are no secret to its residents.

“Those of us who live here know,” he said. “We’re always happy to hear that recognition (from outside the area).

"It's a great town, and we're doing everything we can to keep it that way."
