Moorestown Rec Department Moves to a New Beat

Zumba classes join the list of fall offerings.

There’s still time to sign up for the Moorestown Recreation Department’s new Zumba classes, which start Thursday night at the Church Street Rec Center.

A fitness program with rapidly growing popularity, Zumba provides a high-energy aerobic workout based on dance steps borrowed from merengue, salsa and other Latin dances.

“I’m going to try that one myself,” said Recreation Director Theresa Miller. “We have a terrific instructor.”
