New Year's Fun at the Moorestown Library

Wondering what to do with the kids over the holiday break? Library staff have some ideas.

Christmas is officially over and winter vacation is full swing. The kids have had a full day at home to play with their new gadgets, but there’s still a whole week left before they go back to school. At this point, you may already be thinking: Now what I am going to do???

Fear not, the Moorestown Library has you covered with a fun drop-in activity for kids of all ages. Now through Saturday, Jan. 5, stop into the library anytime during our regular hours to create a one-of-a-kind 2013 calendar. You can enhance your calendar by bringing in family pictures to include, or just bring your creative spirit and we’ll supply the rest. Our craft tables are loaded with old greeting cards, stickers, glue sticks, markers and scissors.

This is a great opportunity to teach younger children about the days of the week, the months of the year and the four seasons. It’s also a fun way to connect with children of all ages by talking about the family activities and celebrations that lie ahead in the coming year. Your child will enjoy marking special days on the calendar all year long. So stop into the Moorestown Library and get ready to ring in the new year!
