Sign Up Now for Girls' Lacrosse

Senior trip to Atlantic City offered by Parks and Recreation.

The registration deadline for the girls’ lacrosse program is Feb. 23.

The program, sponsored by the Department of Parks and Recreation, is open to girls living or going to school in Moorestown who are currently in third or fourth grade.

The program will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays and from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Sundays at Wesley Bishop Park North fields.

The first session will be held March 9, weather permitting. Information regarding start date will be posted to the department’s website.

Fee for the program is $50 and includes play days.

Balls and sticks will be provided. Girls must have goggles and a mouth guard. Cleats or all-purpose shoes are recommended.

Registration forms are available at the Recreation Department Office, 2 Executive Dr., Suite 9B. Online registration is available on the department’s website.

In addition, adult volunteers are needed for coaching. If you are available to help, please call the Recreation Office at 856-914-3093 or fill out the appropriate area at the bottom portion of the registration form. 

Senior Trip: The Moorestown Senior Citizens will travel to Atlantic City April 6.

The trip to the Resorts Casino is sponsored by the Moorestown Department of Parks and Recreation and will include a buffet lunch, ticket to The Golden ’20s and $5 cash per person.

The cost of the trip is $30 and is open to Moorestown residents. If space is available, nonresidents may attend.

The bus will leave from the municipal parking lot by the Moorestown Library at 10 a.m. and will return at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Registration forms are available at the Evergreen Club Meetings or at the Department of Parks and Recreation Office, 2 Executive Dr., Suite 9B.

Registration forms and fees are due no later than March 25.

Women’s Basketball: The Moorestown Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a pick-up basketball program for women 19 and older from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays at the Church Street Recreation Center.

There will be two eight-week sessions. Session 1 begins March 14 and Session II beings May 9. Registration fee is $10 per player ($20 for nonresidents) for each eight-week session. Registration is available online. Registration is also available at the Rec Department, 2 Executive Dr., Suite 9B.

Special Needs Spring Dance: The Department of Parks and Recreation will sponsor a Special Needs Spring Dance from 4 to 6 p.m. March 20 at the Church Street Recreation Center. Cost is $3 per person, $10 per family.

The event will include a DJ, crafts and a potluck supper.

Registration is available online or at the Department of Parks and Recreation, 2 Executive Dr., Suite 9B. Deadline for registration is March 18.
