The Week in Review

Lawsuits, a visit from the governor, a famous chef and ghost tours are among the stories you may have missed this week.

If you were paying attention, you know this week was an eventful one. If you weren’t, well, that’s what we’re here for.

In liquor referendum news, it was a particularly noteworthy week with the announcement that PREIT signed a “letter of interest” with world-renowned Philly chef Marc Vetri for a new restaurant at the mall. And on Friday, Moorestown resident William Cox’s attempt to block the referendums from the ballot were (temporarily) thwarted by a Superior Court judge.

In other news, Gov. Christie stopped just down the road in Mount Laurel to chat about property tax reform, the school district appealed a federal judge’s decision in an expensive special education case, the Quakers rode a strong defensive performance to crush Kingsway Friday night, the township hired a new manager (and he’s a hometown boy), and the historical society kicked off its annual ghost tour.
